Antalyaspor, the third stage decisions of the National Club License System for the 2026-2027 season, announced. The TFF Board of Directors, added a temporary article to the Club License and Financial Sustainability Directive, gave the clubs that failed to obtain a license a second chance. The restructuring regulation published in the Official Gazette, granted an extra time for the clubs to restructure their SGK and tax debts. This development means that Antalyaspor and other unlicensed clubs will be forced to meet their financial obligations by 30 September 2026. WHY DID FINANCIAL CRITERIA BECOME SO DIFFICULT? The biggest obstacle for clubs to obtain a license is accumulated public debt. According to the financial sustainability rules, clubs with SGK and tax debts, or those who have not tied their debts to a legal schedule, have their license applications directly rejected. The new restructuring opportunity in the Official Gazette, provides a critical legal ground for clubs trapped in debt to avoid point deduction or relegation penalties. The files of clubs that meet their financial conditions by 30 September 2026 will be re-evaluated by TFF. Antalyaspor is expected to complete the necessary restructuring to solve the license crisis.
