Antalyaspor's new board of directors has officially taken office. The Ordinary General Assembly of Antalyaspor Spor Faaliyetleri Ticaret Sanayi A.Ş., held at the Suphi Türel Congress Hall, unanimously elected Mustafa Ergün as chairman and approved the new board for a three-year term.
The assembly saw the activity report read by General Manager Adem Kart and financial statements presented by Financial Advisor Yılmaz Kule, all accepted without dissent. In his address, Chairman Mustafa Ergün stressed his commitment to the club. "Our passion is not for position, not for the seat; our passion is Antalyaspor," he said.
Ergün revealed the extent of personal financial support required to sustain the club. "We used 200 million TL in personal checks to keep the club afloat," he stated. He outlined plans to clear the club's significant debts, targeting approximately 650 million TL in social security and tax liabilities through the realization of a real estate project in Fener Mahallesi, which he described as a vital step for a sustainable future.
The new chairman also stated that the doors are open for any candidates wishing to take over the club's management, ready to hand over the presidency within 15 days. This administrative change comes as the team sits 12th in the 1. Lig table with 9 points from 7 matches. Their recent form reads WLWLL, with the latest result a 2-1 away win against Ümraniyespor on September 12.
Antalyaspor's next challenge under the new board is a home league fixture against 16th-placed Vanspor FK on September 20. Ergün concluded his speech by thanking President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister Murat Kurum, Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, former Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir for their support.
