FIFA has handed Antalyaspor a ban on registering new players for three transfer windows. This penalty jeopardises the club's plans to strengthen the squad in the upcoming winter window as they push for promotion in the 1. Lig.

The club faced a similar ban at the start of the season, which was lifted on 2 September after they resolved 16 outstanding cases. However, a new file has now triggered an identical sanction from FIFA approximately a month and a half later. According to the Turkish Football Federation's calendar, the winter transfer window opens on 1 January 2027, and this ban prevents Antalyaspor from registering any players, domestic or foreign, including those whose transfer rights they already hold.

Lifting the ban requires the relevant file to be settled and FIFA's approval. Otherwise, Antalyaspor will have to complete the second half of the season with their current squad. The team currently sits 7th in the 1. Lig with 15 points, seven points behind leaders Kayserispor. They lost 4-0 to Kayserispor last week and face 19th-placed İstanbulspor away on 18 October. Their recent form reads LWWWL from the last five matches.

In a statement following these developments, Antalyaspor manager Abdullah Avcı said, "10-12 teklif aldım! Relegated from the Süper Lig, Antalyaspor continues its campaign in the 1. Lig.
