Mustafa Ergün has been elected as the new president of Antalyaspor. The club's ordinary general assembly unanimously accepted the management board list, with Ergün taking the helm.
Speaking at the meeting held at the Atilla Vehbi Konuk Tesisleri Suphi Türel Salonu, Ergün stated he took the initiative to run after a call for candidates three months ago yielded no results. He added he is ready to hand over the role within 15 days if someone else steps forward. Mustafa Ergün said their only love has been Antalyaspor.
Ergün emphasised that those who gained reputation and grew their business using Antalyaspor's name must assume responsibility in the club's difficult times. He announced they signed a work agreement with Emlak Konut in Istanbul two days prior, with the project to be implemented soon. A larger, more comprehensive second project to secure the club's future will also begin.
The new president highlighted the club's previous debt to social security and tax authorities, pledging to pay it off. On transparency, he issued a clear invitation, stating everything is open for examination.
The new management board includes Ali Altınay, Ali İzzet Şengel, Ali Topuz, Bilal Özkan, Dilaver Tanık, Fatih Demirtop, Harun Tümer, Haydar Ali Yıldırım, Lokman Arslan, İbrahim Şaşmaz, Mehmet Ağırbayraktar, Nebi Erdemsoy, Sabri Serhan Bayanser, and Serkan Sürer.
The leadership change marks a new chapter for Antalyaspor, who sit 12th in the 1. Lig with 9 points from 7 games and have a recent form of two wins and three losses from their last five matches. The team's next fixture is at home against Vanspor FK. Ergün concluded by inviting honest and meritorious candidates to come forward, promising the club's support.
