Antalyaspor has been handed a financial penalty for a stadium lighting issue that delayed a recent match. The Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) fined the club 140,000 Turkish Lira.
The fine stems from a 10-minute delay to the kickoff of their Trendyol 1. Lig fixture against Vanspor FK at the ADO Antalya Stadium on September 20, 2026. In its statement, the PFDK said, "It has been decided to penalize ANTALYASPOR A.Ş."
The disciplinary action comes despite Antalyaspor's convincing 3-0 victory in that same match. The win helped the club maintain its position in 8th place in the 1. Lig table with 12 points from 8 games.
Despite the fine, Antalyaspor's on-field form is positive, with two consecutive league wins. They next face bottom-placed Boluspor away on October 10. The club will be aiming to avoid any similar organizational hiccups in their upcoming fixture.
