Antalyaspor head coach Osman Özköylü has declared the club possesses a very strong structure and can comfortably overcome its current difficulties. Özköylü made the assessment in an interview on Radyospor's Salim Manav program, outlining his vision for the team.
Özköylü said the club's potential was a key factor in his decision to join. "Antalyaspor is truly a very important city team that already lives and embodies the Süper Lig culture a lot," he stated. He emphasised that entering the club's facilities makes the Süper Lig atmosphere and team ambition clearly felt.
Noting the team sits 8th in the 1. Lig with 12 points from 8 games and has won three of its last five matches, Özköylü highlighted the squad's quality. He believes Antalyaspor has one of the highest quality squads in this league. The priority is to fix on-pitch problems and elevate the players mentally further, he said.
He expressed a desire to win back the affection and support of fans saddened by the team's decline last season. Winning matches will bring fans back into the fold, raise their excitement, and together build a strong Antalyaspor, he added. The team is currently in their own city using excellent facilities during the national team break, a process he said must be used very well.
Özköylü outlined that players will go through a rest period, then an intensive training block, and then play a preparation match. They are preparing to win the away match against Boluspor on October 10th. He stated the team has no major problems, only minor mental issues or needs related to in-game organisation and the playing system.
